Policies

Tuition:

The monthly tuition is due the FIRST lesson of every month.  Tuition payment envelopes will be available the last week of every month in the waiting room and must be dropped into the payment box.  The fee remains the same, regardless of the number of weeks in the month, holidays, and snow days or extra curricular activities related to school.  Fees are based on a yearly curriculum.

 

  • A $ 10.00 late fee will automatically be charged if the tuition is not received by the 15th of each month.  THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. 
  • A $30.00 fee will be applied to all returned checks.
  • Any student with a 2-month outstanding balance will be suspended from class until the tuition is paid.
  • All tuition is non-refundable, including Summer Camp enrollment
  • Each sibling of an enrolled student will receive $5.00 off their monthly tuition.
  • Receive a 10% discount if you pay for the entire year upon registration.  To receive the discount payments must be received by September 1st.  Discounts do not apply to competition fees or the unlimited class rate of $135.00/month.  Multiply your monthly tuition by 9(months) and then multiply the total by .90(90%).
  • There is a $20.00 non-refundable registration fee per family.
  • There may be a half months tuition due for June depending on the dates of the recital.

 

Payments:  Monthly payments can be made by check, cash or credit card.  We require a credit card be on file for payments that are not received by the 15th of each month.  If a payment is not made by the 15th of each month then the credit card on file will be processed on the 16th of each month for the monthly tuition amount plus a $10.00 late fee.  This is the only time the credit card will be used.

 

Missed Class:

If a student cannot attend the regularly scheduled class, he or she may attend another similar class.  Please call the school to notify the teacher.  Every student must be on time.    For the safety of the student it is imperative that the student does not miss the warm-up and stretching exercises at the beginning of class.

 

IF A STUDENT MUST WITHDRAWAL, PLEASE MAKE A COURTESY CALL OR FILL OUT A “DROP” SLIP AT THE STUDIO.  Tuition will continue to accrue until notification is received. 

 

Insurance:

All students are required to be covered by their own insurance, if an injury occurs, it is understood that the student or family is responsible for any medial costs.  All students and/or parents must sign a release form to participate in class.

Snow Days:

In case of bad weather, please listen to WTAJ TV-10 for notification.  You can call the studio after 3:00 at 814-695-5280 for a recorded message that specifically states that we are closed.  You can sign up for text alerts by sending a text “@spweather” to  814-325-9534.  If the studio is open and you miss class due to bad weather, you will be considered absent.   Note: We do not automatically close on snow days just because schools are closed.  Many times the streets are cleared by the afternoon hours.

                                                                        

Costumes:

Costumes will be ordered in early December to ensure delivery in time for the recital.  All costumes must be paid for in full before the order is placed.  If you miss the deadline for ordering or enroll after the due date, an extra $10.00 charge will be added to cover shipping costs.  Costume money is non-refundable.  Prices will range from $65-$75.  A fundraiser will be available to help offset the costs of your costumes. YOU MUST CHECK WITH THE FRONT DESK TO CONFIRM YOUR CLASSES AND NUMBER OF COSTUMES.  IF COSTUME BALANCES ARE NOT PAID BY DECEMBER BREAK, THEY WILL NOT BE ORDERED.

 

 A $30.00 non-refundable costume deposit for each class will be due by October 13th.  This will be deducted from your total costume balance that will be due by Christmas break.

 

Recital: 

The recital will be held in late May or early June.  Video taping and photographs ARE NOT PERMITTED during the recital.  You may take pictures at the dress rehearsal.  All outstanding balances must be paid in full prior to participating in the recital or purchasing tickets.

 

Acro Requirements:

You must be at least 4 years old to participate in the Acro program.  Acro classes are broken down into seven levels.  Your child will be placed into the correct level based on their ability the day class begins.  The class will advance together as a whole.

 

Acro 1:  No prior gymnastic skills required

Acro 2:  Must be able to perform an unspotted back bend

Acro 3:  Must be able to perform an unspotted back walk over

Acro 4:  Must be able to perform an unspotted back handspring

Acro 5:  Must be able to perform an unspotted round off back handspring.

Acro 6:  Must be able to perform an unspotted round off back tuck or lay out.

Acro 7:  Must be able to perform an unspotted round off with a twist or full twist.
